The Constitution House is
"The Birthplace of Vermont"
Originally Elijah West's tavern where Vermont's first
constitution was adopted on July 8, 1777. Its exhibits focus on the
constitution - the first in America to pro hibit slavery, establish
universal male suffrage, and a system of public schools for girls as
well as boys.
Other rooms give the visitor a sense of other early periods in the region.
Cider Hill Gardens and Gallery
A one-hour garden tour with gardening tips from Cider Hill's co-owner Sara Milek.
Shopping time, complimentary herb punch, a Cider Hill catalog and an herb plant or note card (depending on the season) after the tour.
Precision Museum
The
birthplace of America's industrial revolution and world wide precision
tooling. On display are the largest, national collection of machine
tools that shaped history, as well as a 19th-century gun shop
exhibit.
Housed in a National Historic Landmark known as
the Robbins and Lawrence Armory, circa 1846, the museum also offers a
gift shop and kids space for budding engineers.
Old South Church - circa 1798
Windsor's buildings define its heritage and history, with more than 15 architectural styles on display throughout the town.
Old South Church was designed
by Asher Benjamin while he lived in Windsor, and is an example of a
stately Federal-style building. (this image is not linked)
Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site
An estate called Aspet that features the home, gardens and studios of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848-1907).
It was a central part of the Cornish Art
Colony that thrived in this area at the turn of the last century. (in Cornish, NH)
Cornish Colony Museum

The Cornish Colony Museum is housed in the historic 1929 Windsor Firehouse, which we were able to purchase thanks to a generous $300,000 contribution by an anonymous donori.
